Catch-Up Corn, Wheat Export Commitments Continue Higher Than Last Year; Soybeans Lower

Total corn sales commitments for 2025-26 were up 30% from a year ago as of Nov. 27; soybean sales commitments were 39% lower than a year ago; wheat export sales commitments for 2025-26 were up 23% from a year ago.

OMAHA (DTN) — USDA’s catch-up Weekly Export Sales and Shipments report for the week ended Nov. 27 listed net-corn sales of 70.8 million bushels (mb). Soybean net sales totaled 41.03 mb. Corn and soybean sales were combined old and new crop. Wheat net sales were 16.9 mb for 2025-26 delivery.

For the week ended Nov. 27, 2025, USDA reported an increase of 70.6 mb (1,792,200 mt) of corn export sales in 2025-26 and an increase of 0.2 mb (5,100 mt) for 2026-27. The week’s export shipments of 74.7 mb were above the 59.1 mb needed each week to achieve USDA’s export estimate of 3.200 billion bushels (bb) in 2025-26. As of Nov. 27, corn export commitments totaled 1.746 bb in 2025-26 and were up 30% from a year ago. That is ahead of USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of U.S. ending corn stocks is 40% larger than the previous five-year average. 

For the week ended Nov. 27, 2025, USDA reported an increase of 40.6 mb (1,106,000 mt) of soybean export sales in 2025-26 and an increase of 0.4 mb (10,000 mt) for 2026-27. The week’s export shipments of 29.5 mb were below the 29.9 mb needed each week to achieve USDA’s export estimate of 1.635 bb in 2025-26. As of Nov. 27, soybean export commitments totaled 802.1 mb in 2025-26 and were down 39% from a year ago. That is behind USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of U.S. ending soybean stocks is less than 1% lower than the previous five-year average.

For the week ended Nov. 27, 2025, USDA reported an increase of 16.9 mb (460,700 mt) of wheat export sales for 2025-26 and a decrease of 0 mb for 2026-27. The week’s export shipments of 13.3 mb were below the 16.2 mb needed each week to achieve USDA’s export estimate of 900 mb in 2025-26. As of Nov. 27, wheat export commitments totaled 696 mb in 2025-26 and were up 23% from a year ago. That is ahead of USDA’s estimated pace at a time when USDA’s estimate of U.S. ending wheat stocks is 24% larger than the previous five-year average.
