Strong Front Bringing Areas of Heavy Rain, Severe Weather This Weekend

A system moving into Manitoba is pushing a cold front through the Plains Friday afternoon. Some thunderstorms have erupted near Omaha early this afternoon and should expand southward throughout the rest of the afternoon and evening. The front will continue to build as it pushes eastward over the weekend. Some areas of heavy rain are forecast from Oklahoma to Michigan and some severe weather will be possible in the South-Central states.
