Daily Note

September MIAX Minneapolis wheat surged 24 3/4 cents and closed up for the tenth consecutive day on higher volume to finish Wednesday at $7.29. Support came from slowing Black Sea exports. The trend for Minneapolis wheat is now an uptrend. 

CURRENT ASSESSMENT

The trend for spring wheat futures has moved higher with the seventh straight close, finishing above the 100-day average. The volatile situation in the Azov and Black Seas have supported wheat. Minneapolis wheat remains a neutral, Type 3 market.

Marketing Recommendations
*Note Regarding 2025-26 Crop Sales*: In December 2025, USDA offered details for Farmer Bridge Assistance payments, with wheat producers receiving $39.35 per planted acre, or approximately $0.90 per bushel based on the 2025 national average wheat yield of 53.3 bushels per harvested acre, and 82% national average harvest ratio.
