Strong Front Pushes Farther South, Snow Forming in Central High Plains Tuesday
A cold front will bring storms, wind, and mountain snow to the Central U.S.
A strong cold front is moving into the Central Plains and Upper Midwest Monday afternoon. Some breezy winds are noted both ahead of and behind the front. Some showers and thunderstorms will develop near the front this afternoon and evening, especially in the Midwest. The front will continue southward on Tuesday. Winds pushing up into the Rocky Mountains will produce a shield of showers, transitioning some of those showers into snow in southeastern Wyoming and eastern Colorado, and possibly parts of western Nebraska and Kansas as well.
