Southern Rain, Midwest Frosts Saturday

A system moving across Texas is producing areas of moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms Friday afternoon. The system will slide east through the Gulf Coast tonight and Southeast for Saturday. Farther north, conditions are cooler and quieter with widespread areas of frosts and freezes Saturday morning across the Corn Belt. Temperatures will rise heading into the new week, but more cold air will be moving into the country by midweek.
