What DTN is Watching

Markets

On Thursday, USDA will be out with their weekly export sales report at 7:30 a.m. CDT, with data as of August 6. USDA will also release a series of follow up reports to Wednesday’s WASDE at 1 p.m. CDT, including updating the wheat and feed grain databases.

Weather

In the active pattern that has been present all week long, more areas of showers and thunderstorms will develop across the Corn Belt for Thursday. Of particular interest is a cluster of storms moving across Iowa early Thursday morning. That cluster is being watched for severe weather and may continue as it moves east-southeast through the Midwest. Additional showers and thunderstorms may pop up out ahead of it as well as behind it across the Northern and Central Plains throughout the day.
